Elmer, You could read the first paragraph of the announcement that way. The second paragraph is a little harder to misinterpret. "Leading PC manufacturers will also make announcements on the availability of systems based on the 1GHz AMD Athlon processor. The first commercially available systems based on the 1GHz AMD Athlon processor will be available beginning Monday." I think perhaps AMD's OEM customers have had those 1GHz chips for a while.
