"What foreign affairs experience can Bush muster? What foreign affairs experience did Clinton muster before HE came to Washington? I only know of a cpl he had here in the US. As far as Bush's smartness is concerned, his wife answered that question. She used to be an educator and librarian. She said that the press is underestimating her husbands smartness. Who am I to argue with that? I believe that the liberal press can make anybody look dumb if they have their mind set on it. They can make a mountain out of a mole hill. That comes with the territory. Look back at that stupid Potato incident. Today McCain proudly announced, on Meet the Press, that he was way ahead in Mass. and Jim Russert said: Yes, you did capture the Peoples Republic of Mass. Maybe it would be interesting to see Bush's grades but I am sure his can stand up to McCain's. McCain is very proudly advertising that he graduated at the bottom of his class. What was it? 3rd from the bottom? How things get clouded and overlooked when you prefer one man over the other. Let me put it to you one more time. I will vote for Bush any day on his experience as a leader, even if it is only in a lg. State. And I like the idea that he can fall back on his DAD and use him as an advisor, if necessary, when it comes to foreign policies. I don't think that is too bad when you consider how foreign affairs have been handled in the last 7 years and Gore was part of that. McCain has been in the GVT for 18 years and now that he is running for President he is ready to turn the system upside down. Not just campaign financing. He wants to include everyone but the ones that don't see it his way. Again. A leader needs to lead and get people to follow. Only 4 or 5 Republican Senators are backing him as their candidate. There has to be a reason for that. Maybe you have to be a bit more even tempered and accommodating to be a leader and that's how the majority of the Republicans see it. Not to say that McCain is not a good person, but most Republicans just feel that Bush will do a better job uniting the people. Just look at the mess McCain made out of this Bob Jones Univ. stuff. Nobody ever had anything to say about this stuff before. Not Republicans, not Democrats. Heck, McCain put Bob Jones Univ. on the map. I never even heard of their policies which they scrapped now. You can't run on: The establishment is against me because I am the only one that knows what is right and knows how to fix it. You can't fix a thing if you try to divide your Party. Bush has plenty of time to brush up on political speeches. Look, Gore is just now getting the hang of it. What kind of speeches did Gore give until he paid to become an Alpha man? But again, I'd rather have a President that is not up to par with polished Clinton talk but speaks and acts from the heart. But I will have to give this to you. Gore is a good debater. He def. had a good teacher in Clinton. I listened to some of the stuff he debated with Bradley. He does not care if he is right or wrong and hopes that nobody catches some of his untruths. As long as it sounds good at the time. Things will catch up with him. Are there some things I don't like about Bush's message? You darn right. IMO he should have included cap.gains tax cuts in his tax plan. But who knows, maybe he will fix that little misstep. gg. Here is a little preview on Election debates between Bush and Gore.dailynews.yahoo.com
