Jeff, all mentioned vendors when claimed Tbit capicity are talking only about scalability, the architecture capability in the future.

Jeff Greene I 'll be honest: I started reading "the bugs in new routers
article you posted

networkmagazine.com

but half way through I stopped.

If in medicine we put out medications or equipment that hadÿ
as many problems ( or potential for disaster problems )
ÿas are described in this article The Food and Drug Administrationÿ
would put the company into receivership
and board it up.

This is why it takes 5 years at least to get a drug out.
You have to make sure it works and youÿÿ to get the bugsÿ
out first. Not experiment with people.

I guess it's OK for LU to experiment post sale ( MCI/WCOM fiasco ): that was
only downtown Chicago. You could move over to Cleveland I suppose
and continue living there.
You won't die.

I suspect however that with so many vendors coming in with
alleged Carrier Class routers it will be a life or death
situation for the Seller: If these things don't work you are history,
