O/T Slider, FWIW I have reclaimed my SargeK profile BECAUSE - a Boiler Room operative was using an alias lookalike "deepwater_explorer" on YAHOO and signing off as "SargeK". I can't imagine that you might employ such a devious tactic since it would be soooo out of character. >g< "Warning to fellow FGH longs ... by: fgh_long (40/M/New Mexico) 3/5/00 8:39 pm Msg: 5224 of 5237 Something strange seems to be going on with the FGH message board: 1) I read a message by "deepwater_explorer" (#5112) dated March 3 in which he/she had signed off as SargeK. 2) The tone/content of the message differed radically from the SargeK posts I had read to date on Yahoo and SI, so I was suspicious that this was an impostor. 3) I searched Yahoo, located a recent message posted by SargeK on a different board, and posted a message there myself, telling him about my suspicions and requesting him to clarify matters here on the FGH board. 4) I also posted a warning on the FGH board voicing my concerns and requesting "deepwater_explorer" to respond back as SargeK, to prove that he is indeed SargeK. 5) SargeK did post a clarification here on 4th March saying that the person with the "deepwater_explorer" id is not him (if you have missed this, read message #5207). He also posted his comments about FGH. 6) And now comes the interesting part ... My warning to the FGH board has been deleted from the message board. As has been my call to SargeK which got him to post the clarifying message I referred to above. You can still see references to my post warning the FGH longs in message #5215 posted by no_time_to_kill49, but if you click on the message he replied to (#5208 by fgh_long), it goes to a different message. You can also see a reference to my post directed at SargeK if you search for messages by author "fgh_long" but when you click on it, you will again get led to a different message. The conclusion of all this is ... we may be in the midst of a boiler room operation in which someone who has access to the "Delete all messages by author" section of Yahoo is involved. Otherwise, why should/how could these two messages vanish? Lastly, we have a message (#5204) by ggig47 where he accuses me (i.e. fgh_long) of being Nosh. Why should nosh, who has been short FGH for a long time bother to warn SargeK, who has been long for at least a year? Does that make ggig47 a person with defective reasoning powers, or part of the possibly ongoing boiler room conspiracy? Anyhow, I have sent a message to the Yahoo Abuse report board, warning them that one of their own staff may be trying to manipulate the FGH board. And just to make sure that the smooth operator doesn't get away by simply deleting that post as well, I have sent email to Yahoo Investor Relations as well. If someone on Yahoo staff is tampering with messages, it may have legal repercussions (and also an abrupt termination of that person's career in Yahoo)." messages.yahoo.com Don't worry little cretin, my posts here will be rare, aimed primarily at keeping the RECORD straight and to post an occasional LINK to other posts.
