Yeah...really anything logical...

Matching the 1099 is not really that important...for instance...options trades are not on the 1099...Some brokers send an income statement with the 1099 and that is what would really be used to fill in the Schedule D...

unless I'm misunderstanding the question, naked options are not reported until closed.
