Geez, KIS, while there are lots of open questions left wrt online services, this isn't one of them. (For a more detailed answer, ask anyone who still admits to working at Disney's Go network.) First-mover advantages are proving insurmountable for free services. I'm betting they will be similarly valuable for anyone selling low-dollar-value items like AMZN in books/music, etc. Bigger-ticket items are more problematic--which is one of the reasons I was unhappy w/AMZN's move into electronics.
