NaviSite and Angstrom Microsystems Announce Alliance Agreement

ANDOVER, Mass., Mar 6, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- NaviSite, Inc. (Nasdaq:NAVI), a
leading ASP and Web hosting company and a majority-owned operating company of
CMGI, Inc., today announced it had entered an alliance agreement with Angstrom
Microsystems, pioneers of the first turnkey Linux-powered e-commerce solution.

As part of the agreement, Angstrom Microsystems will join NaviSite's list of
premier development partners, allowing NaviSite to work with Angstrom
Microsystems to offer a complete, end-to-end Linux-based e-business system,
including hardware, operating system, software and support.

In order to thrive in the e-business era, synergies must be created between
organizations that can enhance and complement each other's products and
services. The NaviSite Alliance Program was created as a result of this basic
tenet. By combining efforts, Angstrom and NaviSite are providing a one-stop shop
for designing, developing, deploying and servicing present and future solutions.

Angstrom's goal is to reduce customers' time-to-market by offering a menu of
Linux-based pre-configured and easy-to-operate solutions such as web, cache,
application, e-mail, firewall security and database servers. Angstrom delivers
these solutions by providing end-to-end service designed to quick-start
e-businesses.

"We entered into this agreement with Angstrom because they offer a complete
Linux-based e-commerce solution," said Jay Seaton, vice president of marketing
for NaviSite, "We view Angstrom's end-to-end e-business solutions as having the
potential to help companies stay competitive."

"The NaviSite relationship makes sense for Angstrom because NaviSite provides
our clients with premier managed Web hosting solutions," said Angstrom CEO Lalit
Jain. "Together we provide the technology expertise, hardware, software and
support system e-businesses need to move forward at the rapid pace demanded in
today's competitive climate."
