RE: <Obviously AMD responded well to the humiliation of the last couple of weeks.>

Elmer,

LOL! Well at least you are consistent :) As far as Dresden is concerned we'll know soon enough, it really seems like you have a rolling cycle of FUD going. As soon as AMD blows down one concern you just move on over to another. You expressed concerns over AMD's copper process and integrating on die cache, then they showed a copper 1GHz demo with on die cache and you shifted focus to aluminum and why they didn't do a demo on their production process. They have pretty much proven that the rumors were true about them being able to release 1GHz anytime they wanted to at a moments notice so you immediately shift focus to Dresden. I am not trying to say that there shouldn't be concerns about Dresden but AMD seems to be firing on all cylinders and I for one am choosing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Regards,

Epinephrine

EP, Obviously AMD responded well to the humiliation of the last couple of weeks.

You must be feeling "shell-shocked." (tm-EP)

AMD can come out with 1GHz+ Athlons any time they want to, right?

Yes, they can!

Did you see this from cnet?

"Dell, for example, is cautiously supporting the 1-GHz Pentium III, meaning it will unveil a new system, the Special Edition Dimension, but with no immediate plans to ship it. 'Dell hasn't locked into a shipping date, and we want to be fair to our customers and let them know what to expect on availability,' said a spokesperson for the Round Rock, Texas-based PC maker. "

NO PLANS TO SHIP IT!!! Now that's what I call a special edition!!!
