Well good for you. I hardly get into the kitchen as much as I would like. I prefer very simple fare (bread, wine, water, meat, vegs, cheese) and as a general rule if I do not take it down, grow it, or catch it myself, I do not eat it. So then cooking is usually a very simple matter for me. The problem is, I tend to make a terrible mess and I end up experimenting for what seems hours. I love spices and herbs, and am always seeking new herbs and herb combinations. I eat tons of herbs while cooking. I'll spit roast a goose with cardamom, and eat more cardamom than goose! (grin) All in all I enjoy myself immensely in the kitchen; but by the time I'm finished, dinnertime is usually long gone. I do not know how folks do it-- providing good, varied and tasty meals on the clock, and multiple times daily. I guess that is why they get the big bucks. Of course I am terribly easy to cook for. Throw me a piece of bread, a glass of water or wine, a piece of cheese and an apple, and I'm set. Throw a little meat into the bargain, and I'm your friend for life.

Apparently you are right about the Bob Jones thing. Bush womped McCain upside the head yestiddy.

(Man. I'm waiting for everyone to come to breakfast and haven't yet even thought about food until this post. Now, I'm starved!!!!!!!!!)
