As a follow up to our earlier descision that the 1Gig from AMD was a mistake.

I think that what AMD has done is bump up VCC.

This is good enoough for close to a 10% speed improvement.

This means that AMD can pretty much yield everything in the 800-1Ghz range.

But it sure looks like great AVAILABILITY starting April and 10's of thousands this month.

I think the pricing of $1000++ is basically baloney.

CPQ is talking $2499 which probably means the CPU is less than $400 in OEM volumes.

Looks like they can kick the lowe end to 800Mhz and kill off Intel margins next quarter.
