WIND I don't like right now. I compare WIND to the BIOS stocks in the 90s. Most of the BIOS companies never have made any big bucks.

I believe RNWK will become less of a factor once we go totally broadband, with AOL/Time as the monster looming very large. I can't see how RNWK will parlay they name and the back end (server farm) into dollars, down the road. RNWK will have competitors in their partners, YHOO, AOL, ATHM, on and on.. IMHO, Beware you are getting information from a guy who does not use RNWK's realplayer, until they have close caption there is no reason for me to use it.

WIND will be raking it in over the next several months
maybe not right away
they own the embedded SW (microcode) for smart devices
as devices gradually get connected like PC's did to networks, the WIND sw will be in strong demand

they will make tons of money as this unfolds
their sw is in LON's transceiver and many other smart devices now
the list grows daily

saying WIND wont make money is like saying in 1990 that Windows will be so cheap that MSFT will never make money

this aint BIOS
Compaq found a way around the copyrighted IBM BIOS software
they wrote specs on its functionality, then solved the specs with new microcode that works on the new PC platform... all legal

WIND microcode will have to be compatible with devices it must communicate with
that was not the case with PC BIOS on differing platforms
my CDROM does not communicate with my server
your printer does not print the files on my neighbor's PC

however, your main corp center airconditioner engines will communicatge with your power mgmt system
your security camera system will communicate with your communication response system
this microcode is far more complex than interconnected PC's

for those who dont know what BIOS is, it is microcode that tells the PC what the hell is on your PC as you boot up... it keeps track of your available devices, like floppy, CDROM, printer, etc

Scott, I got (back) into RNWK this morning as well -- as a trade. See more upside than downside at this point.
