That is an unfair generalization. What America did to Vietnam was nothing to write home about either. But what about today? My bitterness stems from the fact that Americans seem to be repeating a simple but large error from the 1920's and the 1980's (in Japan) that will have very bad consequences for their own people, of which I was one (therefore the personal aspect). What part of this train of logic gives you the greatest difficulty?

MM, I relate to what Steve is saying on the other hand we had to save Europe from Germany twice! so Europe doesn't have such a great history. Woodrow Wilson objected to the harsh terms of the treaty of Versailles because it " contained the seeds of another war" but the Europeans wanted to make Germany pay unfortunatly 55 million people paid the ultimate price. the history of British, French, German, Italian, Belgium, Dutch colonialism - ho ho ho- mike
