Dude, I visit japan on a regular basis and those guys are still hurting. Ever go shopping for ANYTHING other than electronics in japan? A freaking apple costs a dollar, a watermelon 20 bucks. Nobody can afford meat, and most can't even afford fish. The standard meal of the day is some greens and noodles. Basic carbohydrates. Sushi bars or for rich visitors..
