Re: I sent an eMail message to Investor Relations at Inprise Thursday morning and have not received any response from them yet."

Any answer yet?

No answer yet. I even called Investor Relations today but all I could get was voicemail. I left a message but I won't hold my breath waiting.

I understand they are in a quiet period but all I asked was when we get to vote and whether they will include any argument why we should vote to approve the acquisition when they send the proxies.

Actually, my earlier eMail did get quite a bit more testy. I asked if maybe the Board of Directors had come to their senses and would call off the deal before putting it to a vote of the stockholders. I also asked if they would present any compelling reasons we should approve the deal since I had not come across any so far.

I also asked whether the Board members knew something that wasn't being released to indicate why they are rushing into this apparently terrible deal while there were rumors that in the past that there were better offers by other companies.

They can't just keep ignoring us. Even if they control enough shares to pass the acquisition (which I suspect they do) then they at least have to go through the motions and let us have the appearance of voting on the deal.

The more time it is taking Inprise to just identify the date when it will be put to a vote makes it seem more and more that they rushed into this deal. (Especially considering the terms for the Inprise shareholders, it does seem like the deal was struck during a drunken party.)
