Seems like all this good news about Iridium going under for good is having a negative effect on G*. Frankly, I expected that. As Bryston said, there is a lot of skeptism out there about sat telephony in general and G* is getting Iridiumized once again. We will need some good hard news before this gets moving again and hopefully that news is forthcoming.

R.S. The link in 10513 shows the petition and order by the unsecured creditors to go after MOT, but not the other info on deorbiting, etc. you mentioned.

I'm curious why the sats would be deorbited as opposed to being left up as space junk? Merely good corporate citizenship by MOT, or some other reason?
