Motorola is an investor in Iridium, and a creditor of Iridium. How do you transmogrify that into an obligation to Iridium's other creditors?

CB, you're the lawyer. Click the link in RS's post 10513 and there, in fact, it is - at least the motion. The PDF file doesn't indicate the judge's signature, however.

Not only did MOT guarantee some of Iridium's debts, but it made prior public statements that some might construe as an additional de facto guarantees.

Although MOT guaranteed certain debts, that doesn't mean they are voluntarily stepping up to the plate to hand out checks to creditors.

Lastly, if the birds have any value, why might they be de-orbited (which I understand results in them being incinerated in the atmosphere)?
