Its now 25 % not 20 %.
Thanks Kayaker,is that effective immediately? ...and is it going to 30% on any kind of a scheduled time frame?....or is that just wishful thinking??

Thanks for that info, raising foreign limit to 25% immediately is nice.

Re trading US stocks in RRSP, another trick is when you are selling a US stock, you can ask the broker to leave the proceeds in US $ for a day or so, if you plan to immediately buy another US $ stock, so as to avoid the currency change rip-off - oops I mean "conversion costs".

My brother says he has used this tactic a few times, but I have not.

PS yes - RRSP contribution limit could be $13,500, not $12,500, I have not checked.
