I went to the Mystic Seaport Museum several years ago. I love the salty smell of the seaport. The sound of the water spashing around underneath the pier. The creaking of the heavy ropes as the boat tugs it a little each time it attempts to drift from the dock. The seagulls that follow the fishermen's boats looking for chum. The aroma of the seaside restaurants preparing for the sunset crowd on a Friday or Saturday. I miss that the most about Long Island... -ClappyTheSailorMan
