Dan3 <Try to buy an Athlon with NT or Win2K preloaded from a tier 1 or tier 2 vendor.>

The response I got from Gateway earlier today regarding this doesn't directly answer the question:

Unfortunately, we don't have any information on that item right now.

The best place for the latest news about new item availability is gateway.com.

Due to non-disclosure agreements with our suppliers, we are limited in the amount of information we can offer on future products.

Thank you for choosing Gateway.

===============

This is not the answer of a firm that is interested in providing an Athlon with Win2K. NDAs ????

I should have the opportunity to ask Pionex this question in the near future.

Dan, RE: "Do you honestly think that every major PC vendor independently decided to deny these markets to AMD? ... There is still some funny stuff going on."

You are right. I have inside knowledge that there is a corporate/teir 1/Intel conspiracy against AMD. Dell, Microsoft, Intel and Rambus are behind the effort, and the CIA and FBI are very involved. There is a rumor that the assassination in Dallas was a direct result of Kennedy's support of AMD.

Carefull, they all KNOW your e-mail address, and they are LISTENING TO EVERY WORD on the AMD thread.

AlibiDan - Re: "There is still some funny stuff going on. Intel evidently continues to be able to compel the industry to refuse to yield an even playing field to AMD - but that's OK, lately AMD is so much better that despite Intel's crooked ways, AMD is still winning."

And you're still WHINING !

Alibis, Alibis, Alibis !!!

Hey AlibiDan - why did AMD LOSE IBM as a 1 GHz Strategic Partner ?

Think about that issue and your ALIBIS regarding the LACK of an AMD presence in the Corporate market.
