I am a long time holder of tens of thousands of G* stock. Furthermore, I have been reading this board for a long time and find it most informative when someone
shares first hand knowledge. It is for this reason that I felt compelled to share my experience with all.

A letter came across my desk today from G* USA offering a 50% discount on signup and the first months usage charges. I became curious and decided to call
and buy a phone. A receptionest answered the phone and proceded to read off the costs and monthly charge exactly as stated in the previous post. She also
proceded to explain that the phone would be delivered preprogrammed and all that was needed was that I go to a local carrier of my choice to set up local
usage.

At this point I began to ask questions. The first one was " Am I limited as to who I can choose as my local carrier"? She immediately said No. " Do you mean
ATT, Bell Atlantic, Sprint, anyone of my choice"? She said yes, anyone. When I asked questions such as; Does the phone have a retrofit kit that will enable me
to mount in a boat? What is the model number? Is there a discount on the phone for stockholders? What kind of purchase arrangements can one make? And so
on. In each case, she put me on hold and obviousily was asking someone else for answers. I was not pleased with this and gratiously asked her " why haven't
you been trained in the hardware and accessories"? She responded that she usually answers the phone but the response is so overwhelming that the
receptionests were screaning the calls and after informing of the charges the caller would be transferred to a salesperson.

Most importantly, she went on to explain that the phones were selling like " HOTCAKES". Really I asked? Responce "YEA". " Were all so buisy here"! The
bad news is that all the phones are sold out and I would have to wait a month to get a phone. She suggested I call a local distributer to see if they have any in
stock. She provided the phone # for same of which I called and left a message.

May I suggest, that if anyone has any dought as to how G* is doing, they too should call. "
