I prefer Water Hosed. Hosed, hosed hosed am I. Some tips for those of you waiting to settle your account balances before you find another broker: 1) If you need to speak with a human, I've found it quicker to drive by your local office, grab a representative by the lapels and shake till you get what you want. 2) Account service seems to be best really early in the trading day and tapers off right after the market opens. 2) After market hours, all brain stems are put back in the boxes, only to be taken out by Quayleified people who were just good enough to find day jobs. 3) If calling after hours to fix one of the fine Web Broken features like novel accounting practices, it is best to just scream at the top of your lungs from the start. It won't do you any good, but at least you didn't waste any time trying to be civil. 4) While on hold it's good to have available the websites of brokerage houses you should have your money in. 5) However, it's nice to know that my Yahoo! login allows me to play chess at the click of a button. So far I'm 6 for 6 while on hold! 6) Thank you for holding, we are doing everything in our power to .....yeah yeah someday I pray to meet this guy in a dark alley.
