Dogbert re<<<<Schwab charges 9.50% on margin debits under $10K, stepping down to 8.00% on margin debits over $50K. Big profits which flow straight to the bottom line.>>>

When I unexpectedly noted I dipped into heavy margin with Schwab due to my SPY short and other holdings and heard the rate was 8%, I immediately shifted money around to get out of margin debt. At those rates I was worried someone would come to my house at night and break my legs

Dogbert: I just check E-Trade which I use for one and they raised margin rates while I was away from 6.75% on loans over $100K to 7.25%. Well I guess this is one step toward reduced margin debt.
