FiberCore Announces New Specialty Fiber
CHARLTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 7, 2000--FiberCore, Inc. (Symbol FBCE).

FiberCore, a leading manufacturer of optical fiber and preform for the telecommunication and data communications markets, with production facilities in Jena, Germany announced the addition of high proof test fibers to its specialty product line. The 200 kpsi fiber is available in multimode or singlemode and a wide range of attenuation and bandwidths. These fibers are well suited for optical fiber tether and microcables.

In addition to the high proof test fibers, FiberCore also manufactures Radiation Hardended Fibers and 500 micron acrylate coated fibers. These fibers are suitable for shipboard, aircraft, and military applications, or where a high degree of abrasion resistance is required. Both the Rad Hard and 500 micron coated fibers are available in both singlemode and multimode in our standard range of attenuation and bandwidths.

FiberCore, in addition to the standard multimode and singlemode fiber that meet the highest industry specifications, also markets product lines of ValuGrade© and EconoGrade© optical fibers.
