Someone mentioned to me that if the TSE surpasses the Dow there will be a lot of attention given to our markets and that could be a very positive event. I laugh when people I know are putting all their money in overseas Mutual funds and are missing the boat right in their own back yards.
When I explain the fact that the Looney has no where to go but up ,(which means that the other currencies will fall in relation to our dollar), and that even if their investment rises 10-15% the exchange difference could wipe out all their gains.

The only negative event that could curtail overseas investments in Canada IS THE TSE not acting quick enough in its affairs. Which are fixing the computer glitches that are causing it to stop trading intermittently and removing the Know your client Rule so that brokers can execute orders in a reasonable amount of time ( less than a minute ). This is not the way a G7 Country should operate in one of the most computer literate countries in the world.
