Rene, we follow SEC regs that forbid saying "buy" or "sell" unless you are a licensed stock advisor or broker. As close as we will get to it is sharing what we are buying and selling. . . "I added WXYZ", etc.

Otherwise, we just post what we know about a stock, both good and bad. . . then let everyone read it and make up their own mind as to whether or not it is a good trade. But the trick is. . . you must do your OWN due diligence and make up your OWN mind. . . and most importantly, take on your OWN responsibility for the trade. . . .nobody will hold your hand and say. . . .

WXYZ <--------------------BUY 53 3/16
ABCD <--------------------SELL 1/2 position 43 15/16

Such advertisements constitutes a recommendation, according to SEC regs.. . . .and the person giving such may be voluntarily taking on responsibility for your trade! Neither do we hype or bash. . . that requires emotion. . and we steer clear from getting too emotional about a stock. . one way or another. . . there is no stock that I won't dump in a second, if the story were to change considerably.

When a group works together [as many do in private chat rooms] to buy or sell any stock at a specified price, it may also be a violation of securities law, which says that any "concerted effort" to buy or sell a stock for the purpose of moving its share price one way or another is "stock manipulation".

Now, if you look around the net. . .you will see these laws and regulations violated many places. .. In the few years I have been posting here, I have noticed many such parties "disappear". . . suddenly they are no longer posting anywhere. . . the SEC comes in and shuts them down. So we believe it is just a matter of time before all such violators are shut down in a similar manner. . . .and it is our intention to stay on the net and continue our discussions and pointing out potential trading plays for many years to come.

One final thing. . . during the trading day, we will often use the full name of the company, rather than its symbol. . . to keep from drawing attention to the symbol by those merely scanning our thread for potential daytrades or short-sells. . . it probably only works about 30% of the time, but every little bit helps. . . so you either need to stay up with the running discussions or have a symbol lookup handy.

[OT> Holy blinking lights, Batman. . .I just saw 69 go by again on LPTHA.]

I hope that helps you and other newbies in understanding why this thread is so much different than elsewhere on the net.

You are all welcome to contribute information as you see fit. . . if you look at my posts, I am always asking for help in doing research. . . there is simply too many ideas for my eyes and fingers to keep up with. . .so feel free to join in and post pertinent information. . . you have to start somewhere and nobody will give you grief here for not knowing this or that.
