They are responsible for this... not us. They can steady the prices if they really want, but they won't... they make too much money in this market atmosphere, why should they? If the MM's want to throttle a stock, normally it stays throttled at a range, don't it? They do it all the time...

Let's setup a scenario of a "collar system"... what if they stop the trading of any stock that's gone up or down more than 2%? No gaps... everything must be balanced at the beginning of the day, or they don't open that individual stock for trading...

Too many ways to control prices if they really want to... problem is they don't want to go that drastic and kill the banker's money flow.
