Mohan, their main concern with decimalization is the fact that spreads would probably shrink...leaving less for the market makers to skim off.
since NAZ market makers are not subject to the same rules as NYSE specialists (i.e. they are NOT obliged to keep trading going and the market liquid if they're not inclined to do so) they should be abolished anyway. they're basically parasites...who needs them? not i, that much is clear.
and judging from the recent admissions by NITE in the WSJ, they're now even brazen enough to admit their slimy tactics...market maggots indeed.
