bryston, just had a chance to look at the Phillips Sat Today article you linked.

FWIW, I agree with it's conclusion that BLS' 300M$ rev forecast is highly optimistic...along the lines of last December's 1M phones by the end of cy2000.

My guess is G* Y2K revs will be around 140M$ with an average sub count of slightly under 200K, and the model used to generate those numbers has a y/e sub count of 560--that is, very close to BLS's number. To get 300M$ in revs would require VERY heavy usage from the early subscribers...maybe doable considering early (non shareholder/analyst(!)) adopters are likely to be intensive users...but I'm not counting on it.
