After the Bell - Comverse Tech gains

NEW YORK, March 7 (Reuters) - Shares of Comverse Technology rose about seven points in after-hours activity on Tuesday after the maker of wireless software systems posted quarterly results and set a stock split.

Comverse stock traded up to 229-63/64 after the bell compared with a closing price of 222-1/8 on Nasdaq. During the regular session, the stock dropped 13-1/2 amid a broad Wall Street pullback.

After the markets closed, New York-based Comverse reported fourth-quarter earnings that beat analysts' targets. The company also set a two-for-one stock split.
