Mark,

As you may recall, total loyalty to IPM was required -- those failing to meet that test were attacked, denigrated, ostracized, and invited to get lost/drop dead. If memory serves, those that took CC's advice came out of the IPM "adventure" with a profit. Those that followed the hard-liners lost everything, or at least lost a bundle. That loss seems to have etched old antagonisms indelibly in the memory of some.
