Update to all:

Actually, its just the SPDR energy shares and not energy services. I was thinking of the Rydex Energy Services mutual Fund which might be the better play (not sure of the minimum) since you'll get more shares this way (closed at $10.66 US today vs. $28 plus for the SPDR).

Bill

PS. You'll probably have to pay an exit fee to the fund if you hold only a short time whereas you can trade the SPDR just like stock.

Billy, this is still a secret!

I will probably get in trouble for this, but I just learned that something has likely constituted a "Flip-in Event" in the Existing Shareholder Rights Plan (a.k.a. 20% poison pill).

I am not at liberty to tell you all the details, only that the Plan was approved in 1997:

a) to provide the Board of Directors with sufficient time to consider any take-over bid;

b) to allow a reasonable period of time for the Board of Directors to properly evaluate unsolicited take-over bids;

c) to explore and develop alternatives to maximize shareholders value; and

d) to ensure that any take-over bid is extended to all the shareholders.

I know that you most certainly have nothing to fear, but just in case...
