Yes. The Sanyo unit sits on top of your TV and does computy things without a PC.

It has RCA video out and S-Video out to connect to your TV.

You should be happy. The Sanyo Set Top box can display Video images and movies to your TV. . However, it also can read Smartmedia and IBM Microdrive-- and burn these to as well CD-R. It isn't dedicated to CF.
