ML has a BUY/BUY on PMTC. From ML's March 2 '00 Bits & Bytes: Parametric Technology (PMTC; $30 7/16; C-1-1-9) Dick Harrison Promoted to CEO (Jay Vleeschhouwer 212-449-7292) PTC announced the promotion of Dick Harrison to the position of CEO, in addition to his role of president. Steve Walske will remain chairman and assume the role of ?chief business strategist?. This change appears to make formal a de facto situation in terms of the responsibilities for overseeing and managing the company?s transformation and operations. Our thesis on PTC is that it is seeing the early benefits of a substantial revenue opportunity for its Windchill system and that its MCAD business can see renewed growth. We are maintaining our Buy rating. ML's 12 month target on 3-2-00 was $36. Lynn
