Tekboy:
May I add to Everett Smith's (no relation) post and thank you also. You are one class act and an example to us all. I made notes at the Qualcomm meeting but, I am too full of that fine wine that you provided to go through them tonight. However, talking with Mike and a few other fine people, the consensus was that their was nothing said at the meeting that isn't on this thread. Edge was talked about and basically isn't thought to be any threat.
Again, thank you for the wine and I hope to meet you at the next meet when the wine will be on me.

regards,

Ray Smith

Actually tekboy I think we had 40 people so does that make the 25 bottles a little more reasonable? (VVVBG)
Don't look at me...I can only drink white, the red gives me headaches.
There were 34 signed up but some came at the door with no reservation, and being goodhearted (and not wanting to take a loss) LB let them all in. ALso after lunch a few more came.
We needed the wine after the shareholder meeting. It was sobering. Long term good, but who can count on the long term in technology ? Short term disappointing.
JMO of what was said.

The company (at teh luncheon and dinner the night before)was wonderful however.

They had 96 Phelps "Ovation" for Chardonnay (mostly), 92 Etude for Pinot, and 94 Opus One for Cabernet...

25 bottles for 34 people...and at lunch!

Thanks, Tekboy! But next time, send us some NEW wine! :-)

And I tried my best to make sure there was none left, I had a problem with one bottle of Opus, I kept pouring the bottle but nothing was coming out even though it was full.

Tekboy your are an oeniphile of the highest caliber.
All three wines were #10s.
The luncheon was fabulous, don't know how the swing dancing turned out.
After the wine at lunch, I made it thru Lindy's swing lesson and then had to place myself on injured reserve. Thank goodness Voop took me back to my room when he did, appologize to all for not being able to say goodbye.

More later after I read the rest of the posts and get some sleep.

100 (almost feeling back to normal)
