Darleen, do you mean something similar to how a "green screen" IBM Dumb Terminal works when attached to a mainframe? It doesn't happen at the same level of serrendipity as you suggest, yet. Perhaps someday, when APIs do auto-discovery and accommodation, but not now in the main.

I think you are referring to relinquishing all local processing in your pc or terminal to the (web?) site processor. Correct?

You begin to approach this mode when you start to use "thin client" machines and depend more on network-based software distribution and remote processing than you do on your own desktop's functions for same. Am I reading you correctly? If not, maybe someone else can help us out. You can be a bit more helpful too by elaborating somewhat on what you are exploring, and by providing some examples.
