ROCK RESOURCES INC NEWS RELEASE
March 8, 2000
MILLENNIUM DISCOVERY DRILL UPDATE #1
COPPER/GOLD PROJECT CHILE

CHILE: Further to the news release of February 16, 2000, Rock Resources advises that four (4) drill holes, ranging in depth from approximately 200 metres to approximately 400 metres, have been completed. Drilling of the fifth hole has commenced on the Cerro Carmen / Cerro Macote target zone. The Rock geological team advises that copper mineralization in the form of chalcopyrite was encountered in all four (4) holes. Rock Resources will know the grades of mineralization once assays are received from Acme Analytical Laboratories S.A. Rock anticipates receipt beginning in early April. Splitting of drill cores from the first two holes has been completed and the core samples have been delivered to the lab.

Drilling of the Cerro Carmen / Cerro Macote target zone is scheduled to be completed by the end of March. Subsequently, drilling of the Mount Tacho target zone is scheduled to commence.

Rock Resources? copper-gold project is located in Region IV, Coquimbo, Chile 150 km. north of Chile?s capital, Santiago. The Coiron property-area is located along a 70 km. northeasterly linear trend. That trend contains the El Bronce epigenetic gold deposit to the southwest, several variably explored alteration and breccia zones near the centre and the Los Pelambres (3.3 billion tonne) and El Pachon (0.86 billion tonne) deposits 31 km. northeast of the Coiron property. Anaconda Chile?s Los Pelambres open pit copper mine (cost 1.4 billion US$) commenced production in January 2000. The Los Pelambres project demonstrates the current economic viability of world-class copper deposits in Chile.

Rock Resources? geological evidence to date demonstrates the potential for the discovery of two world-class deposits on the 33 sq. km. Coiron project.
