Call me cruel, but when firearms are mishandled by society/family members/so called 'role models'... and treated like toys...I expect to lose kids to the "Blood Lust" and curiosity...the irresponsibility of the 'adult culture' has already been demonstrated. I think this kid was instructed...make that encouraged, to kill. He was obviously instructed about how to use the weapon- Toy manufacturers market 'toy guns' to children and to adults...in the form of toys for action play...! Action Play. Like Columbine...? Hollywood markets disrespect for life and persuit of fantasy to children and adults... Would it be too much of a Compromise to spend the money it would take to treat ALL SCHOOLS like national airports...? Metal Detectors. Or, is there some liability risk [that nobody wants to take],inherent in dosing youngsters with xrays everyday...? Federal Buildings have security...hopefully more now than before OKC... It's up to the Grown Ups to protect the Children... -but the grown ups can't even protect themselves, from themselves.
