Harry, consider that just the concept of "future possibilities" is now assigning more value to new economy stocks than their old economy brethren. An old economy's assets may be worth three times the stock price and it may only have a growth rate of 20%, but what's that to a company with virtually no assets, no revenue growth in some cases, only the word that its the next best thing since toast. There's a lopsidedness here that needs some attention.

For example, I feel that some of the most highly priced nets should trade their stock in for some earth bound assets. Uniphase could buy the three major airlines, consolidate them into one, outfit them with high bandwidth repeaters and have a mobile BtoB, BtoC and real freight delivery system..

The hubs and traffic patters of aircraft already parallel the most commercial routes, just put the net in the air and broadcast everything from a networked airline transmitter.

OK Suresh, if someone steals this idea I'll really be ticked off!

Yes, oil... hmmmm. End of month meetings will anticipate a break in prices and production. One always has to wonder during elections if there's a political plan or if its just business as usual..

Jim
