"OXY" - yeah baby - old economy at its best.../SargeK - FGH ? This is quite the sleeper... popping up on ALL the value lists. Elaine Gazzerelli of all people has pegged OXY as one of the top plays in this market... OXY is also on the top of all the takeout rumor lists, Fadel Gheit of Fahnestock & Co has touted it as well & he's been THE "all star" analyst among the majors - mini's & Integrated's. ================================================================= SargeK; Are you capable of putting down you Pom Poms for a moment ? Can we "Try" to discuss FGH intelligently ? What is their EPS estimate for 2000 -2001 ? Forward PE, is it cheap compared to their peers, or the overall market ? What is their Cash flow / price to cash flow ? Are they cheap on a CFPS multiple basis, to their peers, to the market ? Book Value - what is their multiple to book ? Are they selling at a discount, or a premium to their peers on a Book Value basis ? Growth ? What's their 2001 eps estimates compared to 2000; are they forecasted to grow at a faster rate than their peers ? Are their "STILL" accounting issues, or is this a dead issue ? Instead of hyperbole & spamorama's - give us some meat & potato Fundamental Analysis Sarge. ... because; FGH will either languish in the $3 - $8 trough, or it will shortly be a $15-$18 stock; but guaranteed - it will be one , or the other... lets discuss the cold, hard fundamentals and numbers - "not" the far reaching "what if" mindset of if XOM increases Cap Ex in 2001 - "ya gotta believe that they are going to spend money with FGH" etc... - THAT don't cut it any longer ! No more Tug McGraw - "ya gotta believe" hype, show me some numbers Sarge. Maybe we can actually find a reason to "play" FGH long here ? - maybe not ?
