What the hell is wrong with speculation? It's speculation to own Proctor and Gamble fer God's Sake.People who speculate are often the most conservative people in the market by virtue of Rule Number One. Survival.

If Speculation did not exist, the markets likely would not be as close. Further, swings like yesterday's might be more exacerbated. Speculators tend to cushion runaway moves, I believe.

Tell him that if it wasn't for stupid people like you his portfolio might be even smaller.

Ask Intelligent Speculator how bummed out she must be while she is counting her profits.
