My criteria for investment is not the traditional "fundamentals", but comes from the simple view, that the value of a stock is what people think it is worth. Just look at how much the DOJ case obviously influences MSFT stocks, and how some Linux stocks went.

I haven't made any decision on why RMBS should have that value, I just notice that people strongly believe, that the current price is a price that they are willing to pay.

PE values, earnings, market share, growth rate etc. still counts a lot, but only as parameters that influence people's opinions about stock prices. Not the stock price itself.

Remember that the most precious thing in the world, namely water, is quite cheap... no water -> no coffee -> no programmers -> no computers -> no IT stocks :-)

Btw.: I haven't put everything into RMBS.
