This explains the Bounce, repos the last few days have only been in teh 1 1/2 billion range and despite this morning's rates matching and no repo being required, they pumped in a large one to prop things up. I guess Gore made a phone call. <ng>

Fed adds $5.550 bln via overnight system repos
NEW YORK, March 8 (Reuters) - The Federal Reserve said Wednesday's overnight system repurchase agreements added $5.550 billion in temporary reserves to the banking system.

The collateral breakdown for the operation was:
-- Treasuries $5.100; stop out 5.68 percent;
-- Agencies $0.450; stop out 5.73 percent.
