People nervous about the futuristic stocks shouldn't be in them in the first place. I am tired of the whining on the net - not you, of course - and I'd say let them sell.

OT. My Conclusion on S and P 500. I have flip flopped on the S and P 500 basis for additions to the index.
I have now concluded that JDSU is the best candidate. Q's float is too small in comparison to outstanding shares. VRTS is still has bottom line losses, although they do have operatings earnings. Agilent and Goldman Sachs have not been public long enough--although they may make an exception for Goldman considering its history while a private company. HP has too much control of A to be considered along with the new public company issue.
JDSU has enough other things working for it --- so that its inclusion is justified.
Chiron has good revenue along with good bottome line and has a P/E. It is the only one is the biotech holders (BBH) that makes sense. Immunex is a slight possibility.

Therefore my feeling is that the possibilities are (in order) in the tech sector :

1. Chiron
2. JDSU
3. VRTS
4. Q
5. Immunex
6. Goldman Sachs.

I am interested on any comments/criticisms on my current list. I would say to throw out the reasons I had given for adding JDSU in the past. I think I know a little more now. Remember we have not seen changes in months, which is very unusual and raises the posibility of a major overhaul of the index.
