Hi tg - Interesting article. Thanks. IMHO, customer and competitor relationships in the business world is like shifting sand. I think great leaders like Roth, Chambers and McGinn see it so. Sure, sometimes they play hardballs, but growing their own respective company is good business. To wit, the more optical components NT can sell to others, the more she will maintain her dominant position. It is like CSCO's licensing IOS to others.

Ultimately, I can see these three will dominate their respective core businesses but will also vy for the number 2 or 3 spots in other's territories. Except for other specialists, like MOT, NOK and QCOM/ERICY, who have the specialists, other telecom makers like ALA may suffer.

p.s. I do think A is a wild card

best, Bosco
