I take you at your word, but then find it difficult to figure out how you can manage to dawdle so much....I will tell you something good, although generally my wife makes it because she "has the touch", learned from her grandma who was raised in Missouri farm country: pork chops and mashed potatoes with pan gravy. Cheap, thin, fatty pork chops are the best; plenty of salt and pepper; stir in the flour to the drippings directly, supplementing with butter if need be; whip the potatoes with a liberal dose of whole milk and butter......Very fatty, but very tasty.......
