Jeff, BlackIce does not detect or prevent outgoing data. I believe Zone Alarm does, but ZA doesn't support Internet Connection Sharing. I virus scan frequently and also run "find" looking for the file windll.dll That file is the culprit behind the trojans Net Bus and Back Orifice. I went with BI because of a couple of recommends from other users. Installation was painless and operation transparent, as of now no tweaking. The Computer Learning thread has some good stuff on firewalls. Usual disclaimer: I could be wrong on the above... arno
