Nope. The Cisco gizmo (not IP multicast, but microwave multipath distortion free in urban centers) is described in the current Business 2.0 issue, and since Softbank has stake in both Cisco Japan and in JSkyB, and since I know a bit about telecom infrastructure, I imputed a strategy to circumvent the supposed Tepco difficulty, if there were any.

The exciting thing about tech is that any basic infrastructure/hardware/software/network investment will on abverage require 40% annual renewal/maintenance/upgrade spending, on top of any additional amounts for buildout of the whole system. Cisco/Intel/MSFT's dark secret.
