I think the story today was that we lost close to $3 in the price of crude yet the entire sector did not selloff. It was very selective showing the valuation gap between the XOI, XNG and OSX.

I'd say many E&P's ignored bad news today. I can't remember any other day in the last year where crude lost $3 and 95% of oil stocks didn't go down with it. In the E&P group it looks more like 50/50% and the declines were minor.

Airline stocks soared today, but I still think it's way too early to consider that group as earnings estimates will be coming down for at least the next 6 to 9 months due to high oil prices and higher interest rates cooling off the economy.
