Rick, The responses to the Q&A session sure were informative. I don't think I should listen to IJ and engineer in the same day. It was overload.

I had some thoughts about HDR/Voice channels and wanted to get an opinion or two. Plane ride home stuff, ya know!!

- How far along is QCOM in being able to dynamically allocate channels between HDR and Voice? I worked with networking in the data center setting and saw a broad evolution of load balancing improvements over the years, both within the networking equipment itself and on the servers/mainframes generating the traffic. If Q can imbed this type of dynamic balancing between voice and data traffic as the network demands change, it might open up even more capacity opportunities.

- Is it possible to move data traffic on an overloaded cell temporarily to unlicensed spectrum? I suspect the device would require the capability to send/receive to this spectrum, but it might provide some degree of capacity relief for peak traffic. I realize the constraints on unlicensed spectrum engineer has outlined, but if a failed connection is the alternative it would be some improvement.

- Might there be capacity improvements in a mobile environment if the handoff between cells could span several seconds? Data users wouldn't notice, especially if they were on SI. Maybe this is one of the ways HDR increases capacity already.

Just some random thoughts on the plane ride home.
Enjoyed meeting everyone. Fat Tuesday was a trip.
