From CNBC I got the following. For the week:
Dow down 4.2%
S&P500 down 1.0%
NASDAQ up 2.7%
Russell 2000 up 1%
. At least the NASDAQ had a major decrease in the angle of its rising slope this week<g>

Here is a 3 month chart of the Dow. Still looks like lower highs and lower lows doesn't it? If we continue this pattern we may have the slow water torture decline ala 1973-74 as Bob has mentioned though no reason to think the magnitude should be that bad.

Frankly my financial future is probably more tied in to ENMD which is currently 17% of my invested assets particularly as I have a heavy S&P short hedge which takes a lot of potential risk and reward from the rest of my portfolio. I Expect first real preliminary release of some data on the Endostatin study to be presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology(ASCO) in May. Data may be shocking to those who haven't been following but they are likely to have a limited abstract with the real earthshaking news held up until late in the year. Looks like money managers and most analysts are going to ignore the rumors and the early media reports and wait for the scientific presentations. Things can always go wrong but it looks like it may be pretty awesome for cancer patients and stockholders. Anyway didn't mean to get into this OT stuff again but you can see where my mind has been a lot lately.
